NEW YORK TIMES

“When we were growing up in India, big purchases were very rare,” said Mrs. Sethi, a teacher who moved to the United States in 1982. “You had saved up for it and talked about it for years, so you would take the family along. Then, you’d stop at the temple before you went home to say blessings for being able to buy something.”

After graduating with a Master's degree in Education, I emigrated to America from India.

I taught elementary school for over 30 years and raised 4 of my own incredible kids.

Traveling, swimming, socializing, gardening and cooking are some of my hobbies and interests.

I now live in Sacramento, California with my husband and through this blog, I will share with you some of my personal experiences of raising kids.
